Sunrises and sunsets close to the equator are short ones. In order to make a good image you must predict when and where to point the camera beforehand. Usually If the location permits, I look for two or three compositions that will work in different lighting conditions during the sunset or sunrise. This was such an occasion where I had to move from my first composition to this one within minutes. The trees were in perfect alignment with a dominant tree on left and four other trees with the same branch structure on the right. This is a single exposure from my canon 6D, 24-70 F4, without any filters.
